3 project partners (Mittskåne Vatten – Hoor Kommun Water Supply and Sewage Treatment Company, Bornholms Energy & Supply and Klaipeda University) visited Goleniow – Szczecin, Poland on 11-12 of March, 2019. The purpose of the meeting – to exchange the experience between the partners.
Goleniow water supply ant sewage treatment company (Goleniowskie Wodociągi i Kanalizacja) presented the company, discussed about the water and sewer systems, pipe materials and methods for renovation/relining. Katarzyna Lepianka presented and  demonstrated the mobile sampler at work, which was bought to achieve the STEP project goals. Participants discussed about the STEP project mobile sampler usage and timetable for sampling in the other countries.
Goleniowskie Wodociągi i Kanalizacja organized site visits to 2 local wastewater treatment plants. Dariusz Kozak with colleagues guided participants through the plants and presented the sludge composting process.
The last day partners visited West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, where labs with experimental equipment used for odour cleaning was constructed. Dr. Marcin Holub and the staff explained the plasma technique that is used to reduce the odour. Click here to see photo of the visit.
